Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Varni Enterprises collects when you visit varnienterprises.com or buy from us, why we need it, who we share it with, and how you can control it. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

2. What we collect and why

We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled by our payment provider.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Shopify (our online store platform): stores your account and order data.
- Razorpay: processes your online payments.
- Shiprocket and the courier it assigns: receive your name, phone number and address to deliver your parcel.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and Gmail (Google): carry our messages with you.
- Google: confirms who you are when you choose "Sign in with Google". Google shares your basic profile (name, email address, profile picture) with our store platform, and only your email address is saved to your account.
- Facebook (Meta): confirms who you are when you choose "Sign in with Facebook", in the same way. Only your email address is saved to your account.
- Judge.me: collects and displays product reviews.
- Government authorities: only when the law requires it.
Some of these services store data on servers outside India. They process it only on our instructions and only for the purposes above.
4. Cookies
We use cookies that the store needs to work (your cart, checkout, login) and, with your permission, cookies that help us understand visits to the site. You can refuse or clear optional cookies in your browser settings at any time.
5. How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: as long as GST law requires (6 years after the annual return for that year).
- Photos and videos sent with a claim: until the claim is closed, then deleted within 6 months.
- Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe.
- Everything else: deleted when it is no longer needed for the purpose above.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, invoices);
- withdraw a consent you gave, such as for marketing messages;
- name another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
Email varni.enterprises.co@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy request". We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Children
Our store is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has shared data with us, tell us and we will delete it.
8. Security
The whole site runs on HTTPS, and only the people who pack and ship your order can see your details. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email or WhatsApp.
